Thing #3

I would use my blog in my future classroom to interact with all of my students. I would be able to post upcoming events, tests. homework, or free tutoring. The students would be able to comment and add their thoughts and I would be able to know how everyone feels about the class. If any student felt lost or confused, the blog could be another way to reach me so I would be able to help them before they fell too behind. Also using the blog would help them get more involved with the Internet and help them further their knowledge about technology. Blogging is a great way to explore your ideas and the ideas of others.

Thing #2

When deciding on the name I wanted to use for my blog, I used the simple option which was my whole name. Whitley Brooke Smith was the name of my blog and I used wsmith! :] as my posting name. It was just something simple and fun I thought of on the spot. I actually liked creating the blog web page. As long as I follow the directions, the task was pretty simple for me. I feel like this blog is a fun way to express my feelings and ideas about different things. With my avatar, I really tired to make it look like myself. I thought with the blog web page presenting my thoughts, that my avatar should look like me as well. Overall the blogging experience has been a good one!

Thing #1

While watching the tutorial I found habit #2 to be the easiest for me. Habit #2 was accepting responsibility for your own learning. This means when you set a goal for yourself, take pride in your accomplishments. If you do not do the best as you wanted, then try again. Do not be afraid of failure, embrace it. I found habit #3 to be the hardest for me to deal with. Habit #3 was viewing your problems as challenges. I am the type of person that just wants to solve a problem and get it over with. I have a hard time with learning from my mistakes. Becoming a teacher is definitely a profession where you have to be able to roll with the punches. When you mess up and fix the problem, understand why things did not work out and what you have to do so the same problem does not happen again. I really enjoyed the tutorial, it was filled with tons of useful information.
